Destructo Box Christmas! Destructo Box Christmas!

Rated 4.5 / 5 stars December 23, 2010

You reply to a lot of reviews... O,o

Shh shh shh... Let Santa rape you now, for twenty dollars is all you're worth, you fat cow.

In and out, up and down, Santa had his way with naught a frown.

Then, the old Saint Nick finished his jolly way, knowing the young man he'd just raped was not gay!

Even still, Santa made off with a present bigger than he gave; a young man's rear now as big as a cave!

(Sorry. I've had a few beers...)

DestructoBox responds:

A dirty sex story from a plastered ol bloke,
in a rhyming review capped with a butt joke!

I do love butt jokes.

Why Terry is Gay Why Terry is Gay

Hm...

I think I even turned a little gay after watching that.

PS., I need a signed picture, please. I'm going to need it.

I Said NO I Said NO

Rated 4.5 / 5 stars May 23, 2010

whewt sauce?

That was a great flash. You've definitely come a long way since your first flash.

While the female voice was spot on, the male voice was a bit soft and needed a better volume.

Other than that, just keep working on your hand animations, cutie!

No Time to Explain No Time to Explain

Rated 4 / 5 stars January 11, 2011

Yeaaaaaaaaaah...

So, your voice actor made a mediocre game hilarious. No problems with that. There was a pretty major problem with the game, though. You have to be pointing your jet pack... blaster... ion cannon... whatever, downward, and in one point in the game, there's not really a whole lot of room to get it down there.

btw, dinosaur Easter egg = totally worth the pain in the ass that it was to get it! :D

You should've seen this coming!

One Chance One Chance

Rated 5 / 5 stars December 4, 2010

Wow.

I like that I couldn't replay the game. You literally have ONE chance, so your actions have ramifications that you cannot change simply by clicking 'refresh'. I love that. Keep it that way.

Although, for the sake of curiosity, I'd like to know what the other endings are. (I saved myself/Molly)

Insurgo Insurgo

Fun... but flawed

Okay. Let me first state that the game is a lot of fun, I enjoyed it.

Now, for me getting into you on bad things...

First of, let me state, by watching this game, I've realized that it is not a game of physics. You've included just one aspect of the physics that should be here- pulling. By adding more struts (girders, whatever you may call them) more and more weight is added to the frame. While this part, in and of it's self, is correct, one part is not. The struts should be strong enough to push back against that weight, and in this game, they do not. You could have 50,000 struts holding up, but you would have the same effect as 8 or 9 doing the same job.

The problem with this missing facet is that it breaks down into one thing. You (the player) cannot deviate from what you (the creator) have designed for the player as intended for him to do. Thusly, it does not come down any skill or strategy to get a high score, but it comes down to whom can figure out best what you have laid out for us to do.

Right now, it's like a maze with one path to the ending. In the future, I'd like to see a lot more paths and a much more flushed-out and perfected physics engine that supports not only pulling and weight, but pushing and structural strengths.

Still gave you a five. ^^ Keep your spirit up.

VoidSkipper responds:

That is not actually true. There is no correct way to build a tower, or at least if there is, I haven't figured it out myself yet, because I can't touch the highscores.

This issue with the physics engine I'll explain here. The pylons themselves do not actually have weight, but rather the bolts do. If you think about that, it should explain a few of the flaws you've pointed out.

Accurate physics simulations of this proportion in Actionscript2 are not really viable, and I'm going for fun over true-to-life representation. If I ramp it up to real world speed, for example, it will be nearly impossible to build a tower.

Your Prelude (True) Your Prelude (True)

Rated 5 / 5 stars May 27, 2008

I like the drums!

They come in just when they're supposed to, and they hit hard, fading away again as quickly as they came.

I think what a lot of people are missing is that they become the center peice of the song when the drums are playing. Just like the piano or violin in any other section of the song, the drums are important, and should be just as loud as, and in some spots, louder, than the other instruments.

Left Behind (Finished) Left Behind (Finished)

Hand face situation appears!

Wait, so the guy belives that since it's the same title that it should be the exact same thing as Slip Knot? Bad news, kiddo. SK isn't even that good. Don't judge one song's applicability to the portal simply by the title name not being the same as another band's song.

Anyway.

While the song and lyrics are quite in line with the rest of your music (I.E. amazing) I would have liked to have had the vocals a little louder and the background guitar a little softer. You're borrowing Mr. Sandford's gifted talents, may as well show them through.

Otherwise, no complaints.

On the upside, your background compilation sounds great, mixing well through the entire song. And again, Alex does an amazing job of showing what a very talented young (maybe young?) man can do for a song in tying it together. In my opinion, use him more often. (No offense) I quite like him a bit more than the current lead singeer of the songs you've posted that do not feature him.

Thanks for the music and your time. ^^

Naitzmic responds:

Yeah, it's pretty amazing how a quick
assumption can lead to such bias, but he
did give me a 6/10, so he wasn't a complete ass. ;)

I'm glad you liked the song (and the rest of my material... strong words btw. Thanks!).
Also, you're right, the vocals should have been a bit louder,
but I didn't have any choice in the matter, since Alex added the vocals
on his own, and only gave me the finished file (not the master tracks).

Alex and me are both performers, not producers, so our mixing/mastering
skills are sorely lacking, I'm afraid. >_<

Yes, Alex is quite young.
In fact, I think he was only 16 or 17 when he did this song.
He has amazing potential, and incredible talent.
I'd love to use him more often, but as teenagers most,
he has alot of other things going on in his life,
and I don't wanna keep him away from any of it.

Thank you for the time and input.

{dj-N} Lion King Remix! {dj-N} Lion King Remix!

Amazing

It's a shame you've consigned yourself to not finishing this song. It's absolutely amazing. I'd bet money that most would agree this is your best song to day. (Depending on taste of opnion, I'm sure.) Either way. The transition into and out of synth and keys is perfect. I wouldn't have it any other way. If you finish this, I promise to give you a hug and not sleep with your sister... <Shifty eyes>
